Instead of reporting that Tom Cruise and his long time producing partner Paula Wagner have just been tapped to helm the floundering United Artist movie studio causing a huge uproar in Hollywood I have decided to spend my time speculating on the sexual orientation of cartoon characters that have not been relevant since the mid 90’s.
I watched this scene almost 15 years ago. I just got it.
It's a good thing this scene implies that it is gay sex because I really wouldn't want to imagine what a love child between Ren and Stimpy would look like.
Taco Bell presents Two Germans. It's very refined international humor.
Pothead Theater.
Robert Smigel is mostly known for his Triumph the Insult Comic Dog character but for me when I think of Smigel I think of his animation creations for SNL: Tv Funhouse.
This is a great example of how much of an impact drugs do have on Tv Sketch writing.
Another Tv Funhouse skit. This one makes fun of both pedophiles and retired child actors. It's a winning combination.
I never really watched Mad Tv because of two reasons. I am usually never home on Saturday nights and If I was I would be watching SNL. Thanks to Youtube Mad Tv's greatest works can be viewed during the middle of the day when you have nothing to do but work.
Enjoy.
I apologize for the lack of updates this week. There really isn't anything interesting to write about. The latest movie trailers out suck. There isn't any good news to talk about and the Dvd selection this past Tuesday blew.
So I figured I would throw in some funny videos as filler.
Joblo.com is reporting that the Wachowski brothers have just signed on to write/direct/produce a new speed race movie along with long time friend and Matrix collaborater Joel Silver.
The Wachowski brothers are used to making films with adult action and content will be making their first family friendly movie. Speed Racer is going to be a PG movie.
Does this mean Speed Racer won't be in bondage clothing or wearing a ball gag?
I spent an hour looking for a picture of Larry Wachowski in a dress. I am sorry, I couldn't find one.
Wachowski brothers and family friendly films. I just can't picture it.
I am however excited that Speed Racer is finally going to be made into a feature film.
Vince Vaughn had previously been attached to play the speed demon.
Saw III dominated the competition this past weekend with over $30 Million in ticket sales. It really is no surprise that this movie did this well. With Halloween coming up people want to be scared and if you have seen any of the other Saw movies you know that this movie is as close to a sure thing as possible. A huge surprise is the fact that the Departed is still holding strong in the number 2 spot. It has been in that number 2 spot since it fell from number 1 the weekend after its opening weekend. This could be trouble for Scorsese though, the academy is known for snubbing films with great commercial success...
The number 3 spot was taken by the Prestige, which I still haven't seen. Flags of our Fathers is looking strong in the number 4 spot which leads me to think that this film might not be as big of a bomb as I had previously thought. They are still obviously very far away from making their money back but this could be the little engine that could. In last place is Running with Scissors it did very well considering it only opened in 500 screens. It did however manage to average a little over $4,000 in ticket sales per screen. Looks like it could be a success.
