Bunny Bitch Tits.

Click on the picture above to watch the movie Fight Club reenacted by bunnies in 30 seconds.

These short animation films have been around for some time now...but apparently they have been bought by starz.

Nice.

I really enjoyed the subliminal images spread throughout the clip.

Sexy Nun? Sexy Jesus?

This is a real commercial for a local Halloween costume store.
Someone needs to pick this genius up and tell him to sell his store and look for a job on Madison Avenue.

He is a marketing genius.

Some of my personal favorites were.

Sexy Nun.
Sexy Jesus
Sexy 1900 steel conglomerate tycoon..

AND my absolute personal favorite.
Sexy,sexy.

New Releases

Catch a Fire

I haven’t heard a thing about this movie which leads me to believe that the advertising budget for this movie is almost nonexistent.

I spend countless hours online looking through movie sites for my own personal enjoyment.

I can assume that since I have not heard of this movie the average moviegoer hasn’t either.

After checking out the trailer and reading more about it I decided that if I do have time this weekend I might check it out.

It has the same director as Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger and both of those movies kicked political thriller ass.

It does however star Tim Robbins.

Not a big fan.

Little Known Fact: 5 out of the 6 sentences above start with the letter “I”

Running with Scissors

I have been waiting for this movie’s release for a really long time.

Really excited about this flick and it is on the top of my list of movies to watch this weekend.

I won’t write anymore because I think I have said enough about this movie in previous posts.

Just go out and watch it.

Support director Ryan Murphy so that he can get his twisted hands on more projects.

Saw III

Fuck that. I am still recovering from Saw I.

I can’t even watch the trailer to this movie.

This will however be the number 1 movie at the box office this weekend and will make close to $30 Million.

The Saw franchise is a Billion dollar enterprise.

They will never see another dime of my money.

Babel (Limited only 7 cities)

Another great release this weekend that has Oscar buzz surrounding it.

If you are fortunate enough to live in a city where this movie is being released go watch this movie.

Watch it twice.

Even though I do live in a large metropolitan city it is not being released here.

Hopefully someone will make a copy and put it online soon.

School House Rock.
I tend to stay away from political satire on this site because frankly I don't want to get any hate mail.

This one is just great though....
So I have to.

I learned more from School House Rock than all my years in Elementary school.

NetFlix Tuesday (Thursday)

New releases this week.

I know it's late.
Sorry.

Click on any of the titles to rent the movies from Netflix.

Slither

I really want to see this movie. From What I have heard this movie is reminiscent of the Toxic Avenger movies from the 80's.

Over blown horror with a mix of comedy and gratuities gore.

That is something I could see myself watching...and enjoying.

From the screen writer of 2004's Dawn of the Dead (Which I really enjoyed) comes Slither.
Check it out.

A 6 pack and a room full of people will probably make this movie more enjoyable.

Make it a communal experience.

Nacho Libre

To start off let me just say that I hated Napoleon Dynamite.
I felt alone in the movie theater while watching this movie.
I thought to myself..am I getting older, is my taste in movies improving, what is going on here?

The entire theater was laughing and screaming throughout Napoleon and I couldn't wait for this movie to end.

What was worse where the months that followed.
People would open a drink and automatically quote this movie.
I just did not get it.

A couple of friends invited me out to watch Nacho Libre and I decided why not.

Some kids grew up on WWF.
I grew up on a mixture of masked Mexican wrestlers and the Ultimate warrior.

I decided that watching Nacho couldn't hurt.
God it did.

10 minutes into the movie the fake Mexican accent Jack Black used was killing me.

I guess I don't share the same sense of humor as writer/director Jared Hess, who wrote both Nacho and Napoleon.

Bad.Just plain bad.

Watch it anyways.
Or else you are going to feel left out when people start quoting this movie over and over at parties.

I will admit the movie poster is funny.

Porky's

This is comedy.

Teenage comedy like this one could not be made today.
Societal values and political correctness will kill this movie before a single frame could ever be shot.

This movie had it all.

Sex, drugs, and nudity for the sake of nudity...oh and racial slurs.

If you haven't seen Porky's rent this tonight.

Avoid the sequels.

SNL: The best of Tv Funhouse

Three words.

Ambiguously Gay Duo.

SNL sucks now.
If you do happen to find yourself at home on a Saturday night.
Just log on to Youtube.
Or stick in this Dvd.

MacGyver: The Final Season

I could make a lame reference here about how you could only watch this dvd on a dvd player that you build yourself out of tooth paste and rubber bands..

But I am above that.

MacGyver was a combination of Bill Nye the Science Guy and Indiana Jones.

With a Mullet.

Borat Culture Learnings
The first 4 minutes of the new Borat movie are now available on Youtube.

I usually stay away from previews of movies I really want to see.....
But I am sure that these four minutes won't ruin any important plot lines or any secret twist endings.

Watch the first four Minutes here.

Here are more deleted scenes.

Hi Five!

Say Cheese.

Sexy time with puppies.

Part of what makes this movie so interesting is the fact that it mixes scripted dialogue with improvisation.

I don't know how they make it through a scene without laughing every single time.
Especially with the improvised scenes.

This week’s number one spot went to Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige.

This comes as no surprise given the fact that the movie had a great cast and a great director and dealt with a topic that was broad enough to attract a variety of movie goers.

I truly agree with the notion that people go to the movie to distract themselves from their every day lives. People nowadays don’t want to see a movie that reflects their reality as it was proven again this weekend. No one went to go see Flags of our Fathers which BOMBED in the number 3 spot with only $10 Million. Sure $10 Million sounds like a lot of money but that hardly even paid for the advertising budget for this movie. Boxofficemojo.com reports that the entire films production budget was in the range of $90 Million. Throw in another $15-$30 Million for advertising and this movie needs to do business in the hundreds of Millions of dollars to be considered successful.

The better question is…Is it good? I don’t know.

I didn’t see it.

I didn’t want to spend my money and my time watching a movie about a war I didn’t live through. Especially at a time where war dominates every medium I pay attention to.

I am not saying I want to deny the fact that there is a war.

Far from it.

I read the news paper and I watch the news on daily basis.

And that is exactly where I want to get my fill of War.

In the press and not in watching a movie.

Another Great example is the movie Man of the Year. Nobody wants to see a movie where the President is an incompetent comic. No one saw that either.

People want to see movies about magic and cartoons about animals that talk. They also want to see films with a great cast helmed by a great director.

To put it simply, people want to escape their lives when they enter a theater with a tray full of $10 popcorn. They want to escape the fact that they had to work half a day just to be able to pay for the movie. They want to escape their kids, their jobs….and sometimes their lives.

And for those 2 hours they want to laugh, think, and feel better about themselves.

Does this make for better film making?

No.

I am sure the movie Flags of our Fathers is 100x better than The Prestige or even half of the movies that have made hundreds of Millions this past year.

Aaron Sorkin put it best when he said

“There is a struggle between art and commerce.”

People will always pay to see what is cheap and entertaining over what is good.

There I think I am done with my rant.

Like always click on the Movie title to watch the Trailer.

Up and Comers!!
An avid reader of Movie moron wrote me an e-mail a couple of days ago and asked to me check out his site.

I decided that if he read my blog I should take a couple of minutes out of my busy day and check his out.

What I found was not a blog but a site full of excellent self produced short films and trailers.

After I e-mailed him telling him that I enjoyed his stuff he mentioned to me that he just finished filming a series of short films that he was going to self release.

In the independent film industry movies live or die on word of mouth advertising and so-called “buzz”

Check out his site and decided for yourself.

If you like it …talk about it…

If you don’t …talk about it anyways.

www.Improvision.tv

Click on the Movie poster to see his latest trailer for his up and coming film titled “Aventon”

Watch it and decide for yourself.

You never know this could be the next “Blair Witch” and you could say you were there first.
