Corey and Corey: The real story

I just read that the two Corey's are reteaming not for a movie but for a reality T.V. Show.

The only way this show could be any good is if they were still on coke and famous.

Opening Today
Opening Today

This week is going to be a huge at the Box Office.

With 3 strong contenders opening this weekend and the return of last weeks Box Office smash Jackass: Number Two. It looks like Hollywood is going to open its own money making machine.

The Guardian

A movie about the Coast Guard.

Yes, the Coast Guard.

Charles Bronson is rolling around in his grave somewhere clenching a shotgun.

School for Scoundrels

From the director of Old School and Road Trip comes School for Scoundrels. Expect a ton of cameos and catch phrases

in this one.

Odds are I will see this and soon.

I really hate Jon Heder. How is his career still alive?

The Science of Sleep

This looks great. I am actually seeing this tonight.

Michel Gondry is a very innovative director working with a great cast.

There is no way this movie isn’t going to be great. It stars Indie movie favorite Gael Garcia Bernal who surprisingly chooses his roles very carefully and The daughter of French pop great Serge Gainsbourg, Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Watch this and soon.

Open Season

Another computer animated movie that will probably do better on Dvd than in the theaters. It seems as though they are cranking these things out every other week.

They really shouldn’t

Robert Downey Jr. Is Tony Stark.
I don't know much about Iron man or what he does or who he does it with.

What I do know is that I enjoy movies where the characters have super powers and things get blown up.

In 2008 Robert Downey Jr. Is Iron Man.

Irons man will be directed by Jon Favreau

and will probably suck.

And just because.

Saved by the Smell

Courtesy of the Nydailynews

In keeping with the tradition of such porn name classics as Edward Penis Hands and most recently A Night in Paris. The porno industry has just named its newest celebrity sex video Saved by the Smell.

Samuel Powers A.K.A. Screech is the last person from Saved By The Bell that I would like to see naked.

Fortunately for us, Screech has a recorded a sex video. The sex video has been described as raunchy and disgusting…

the words dirty Sanchez were also mentioned in the description.

Screech was never the character who got the girl. He was the character who won the science projects and who was always the bait in Zack’s zany and crazy schemes.

Nowadays Screech is having threesomes and recording them for our viewing pleasure.

Pleasure really shouldn’t be the word to describe this...

Maybe Curiosity

But not Pleasure.

*Update

I found a preview of the tape.

Beware..........

The Land of Milk and Honey

The United States of America has always been known as the land of the free and the land of opportunity.

Our streets are paved with gold and everyone’s stomach is always full. We have this ideology that if you work hard anyone…and I mean anyone can be successful.

All you really need is a good idea and a great work ethic.

Watch the video.

Steve-O from the now infamous Jackass cast of characters is literally a Millionaire.

Literally a Millionaire.

That kind of puts perspective on life doesn’t it?

NetFlix Tuesday

Before The Suicide Girls there was Bettie Page tearing up the pages of adult magazines. In a time when conservative values were at an all time high Bettie Page decided she was going to make dirty pictures cool.

And she did.

Inspired by a true story and full of violence.
Personally I would never watch this…
But only because I like to sleep.

Inspired by the book of the same name written by Hunter S. Thompson. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was directed by Terry Gilliam.

And if you have ever seen any of Terry Gilliam’s previous projects you know he takes acid. A book about drugs directed by a man who takes drugs.
It’s exactly what it sounds like.

Confusing.

4. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

There is something about putting $50 grand into a Honda that seems kind of pointless to me.

A remake that mixes Science- Fiction and Romance.
Staring Neo and Miss Congeniality.

Click on any of the movie titles to rent them from Netflix.
Netflix is better than cable.

NBC Mondays

Forget Thursday's, Must see TV has moved to Monday's

Hero's, NBC's new comic book inspired action show has been shoved down our throats through print, film and even radio all Summer long.

NBC has spent a lot of money promoting it’s new show Hero's.

Did it live up to the hype?
I didn't think so.

In my opinion I thought they crammed too much information in a very short amount of time.
Each character was presented in what felt like clips instead of segments.

I thought that all of the characters screamed of potential and should have merited their own episode.

Lost perfected the ensemble cast. Lost can take up to three weeks introducing the audience to a new character which causes to us the viewers to empathize and care about the character.

Hero's decided to briefly introduce us to their new characters without so much as a formal introduction.

There is only chance to make a first impression and Hero's blew it.

After all is said and done. Hero's has potential.

A lot of potential.

I am a sucker for shows where characters have super powers and fight evil and where the show confuses itself with back story after back story.

Hopefully Hero's can give me something good to write about.

In case you missed HERO’s season premier last night you can check it out by clicking HERE.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

What a great show.

I can't stop praising this show.

The dialogue in yesterdays show played like a perfected song.
This show can become NBC's new power house. Unfortunately, it did not do so well in the ratings last week. Hopefully that will change with word of mouth.

Especially after it wins a ton of Golden Globes and Emmy's.

Good stuff.

$27,534,000

Little Miss Sunshine

$2,875,000

$50,340,000

I was completely off this past week with my predictions.

I saw Jackass: Number Two over the weekend and I have never seen an audience stay until the end of the credits wanting more from a movie since the first Jackass was released.

I enjoyed this movie a lot.

I do have some issues calling Jackass: Number Two a movie. There is no story line or plot. It did however make me laugh harder than I have laughed in a really long time. And that counts for something.

The biggest surprise for me this weekend was seeing Jet Li’s Fearless at number two with $10 Million. I guess Jet is now a bona-fide action star. It’s ironic that this movie is going to be his last action film. Or so he says. I doubt anyone will ever pay to see Jet Li in a comedy or any other type of film that doesn’t involve nunchucks and special effects.

It just makes me so proud to see Little Miss Sunshine clinging onto the top 10. There is nothing better than seeing a great film made with little money step up and stay in the top 10.

Check out the Archives.
You the reader should really check out the archives. There is more to the blog than just the front page.

I feel weird calling them the Archives.
The blog has only been around for a little under a month.

The word archives makes it sound so old.
