I saw Jackass: Number Two over the weekend and I have never seen an audience stay until the end of the credits wanting more from a movie since the first Jackass was released. I enjoyed this movie a lot. I do have some issues calling Jackass: Number Two a movie. There is no story line or plot. It did however make me laugh harder than I have laughed in a really long time. And that counts for something. The biggest surprise for me this weekend was seeing Jet Li’s Fearless at number two with $10 Million. I guess Jet is now a bona-fide action star. It’s ironic that this movie is going to be his last action film. Or so he says. I doubt anyone will ever pay to see Jet Li in a comedy or any other type of film that doesn’t involve nunchucks and special effects. It just makes me so proud to see Little Miss Sunshine clinging onto the top 10. There is nothing better than seeing a great film made with little money step up and stay in the top 10. |
